Kaohsiung Labour Office Visits Thai Workers in Chanhua City, Taiwan

On Monday the 21st March 2016, the Kaohsiung Labour Office visited Thai workers in 5 companies in Changhua city in Taiwan. Employers generally commended the Thai workers, where some were found to have worked with employers for a long period of time, developing relationships as if part of the employer's family. As for income and benefits, the Thai workers said that it was better than if they were to work in Thailand, and that they were able to save money to send back to families at home. During the visit, employers expressed interest in hiring more Thai workers to replace Vietnamese workers, as employers had often experienced worker's escaping contracts, thus the Kaohsiung Labour Office invited Thai workers to invite friends and family to work in Taiwan more.
