MOL Raises Awareness for Staff in Enhancing Operational Efficiency Together with Ethics and Transparency

             The Labour Minister chaired the workshop for the Ministry of Labour’s ethics and transparency assessment development project, aimed to enhance the efficiency of government service, along with ethical and transparent operations.



            On February 7, 2019, at 09.00 hours, the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General, Mr. Somsak Apiwantanakul chaired the workshop to develop the ministry’s ethics and transparency assessment, to raise the corruption awareness index. The workshop took place at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram conference room, 5th Floor, Ministry of Labour. Head of the Anti-Corruption Division Mrs. Kulpriya Phaiboon presented the report. Mr. Somsak said that the workshop aimed to create knowledge and understanding for the Ministry of Labour’s staff in assessing the level of moral and transparency in the ministry’s overall operation, to support the assessment of morality and transparency in the activities of government agencies for 2019. The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission or the NCCC developed an IT system to support ethics and transparency assessment within government agencies online, to be used as a guideline for ethics and transparency evaluation for all agencies to align to the same standards, which will achieve the vision of the national strategy on prevention and suppression of corruption. This will result in the Ministry of Labour being transparent, honest and a part in raising the level of corruption awareness index (CPI) for the nation.
