MOL Opens Booths in the North with Recruitment and Activities at the People Station Project in Chiang Mai

          The Ministry of Labour opened booths to practice professions, recruit, provide hair cut services, health checks, cataract surgery and an informal debt recovery clinic. There was also an exhibition of the mission of each agency and games with many giveaways, at the second People's Station project at the Far Eastern University Auditorium, Muang, Chiang Mai. The event aimed to create jobs, careers and enhance skills for people to earn income and habe security in life.
          On August 23, 2019, Secretariat to the Labour Minister Lt. Gen. Nuntadech Meksawat, presided over the opening ceremony of the People's Station project at the Far Eastern University Auditorium, Mahidol Road, Haiya, Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai. Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Mr. Wirut Phanthavee chaired the commencement. The Department of Employment’s Deputy Director-General Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Chiang Mai province also joined the occasion.
          The People Station Project Is an activity organized to be a space for people with complaints, to report clues to problems in each area and access government agencies and services conveniently. It is also a platform to present problems and find solutions, with various public services such as recruitment, vocational training, self-employment demonstration, health checks, barber services and cataract surgery for example. The Thai PBS television station is a medium for presenting problems in each area, and is an intermediary in solving problems and finding creative solutions. The event has activity booths such as health checks, education from government agencies, clinics to solve informal debt and games with giveaways. There is also the sale of products from professional groups and special performances from Mahamakut Rajabhat University students.
