          MOL in collaboration with 10 ASEAN countries and South Korea signed MOU on occupational health and safety with an aim to build capacity in occupational health and safety of labours under the same standard in preparation for AEC

 

 

 

 

               

            Mr. Artiti Ismo, Deputy Permanent Secretary of MOL, stated after presiding over the signing ceremony of MOU on occupational health and safety between Labour Safety Bureau, Department of Labour Protection and Welfare and Korea Occupational and Health Agency ( KOSHA ) at Century Park Hotel that this seminar was held to inform all 10 ASEAN members to set key index of occupational health and safety under the same standard to prepare for AEC in 2015 since the occupational health and safely of labour in each countries are different depending on type of industry. For example, Singapore has less affected from occupational health and safety at work because it has no large-scale industry and most population has worked in the office. In the future, the academic evolution would be able to indicate the list of industry having work-hazard problems in order to indicate the level of occupational health and safety at work to promote and build economic capacity in terms of occupational health and safety
