16th Batch of Newly Appointment Officers Onboard

            On 28 March 2017 at 09.30, Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti commenced the onboarding for the 16th batch of newly appointment government officers to the Ministry of Labour, at the Princeton Park Suite Hotel in Bangkok. She said, “Congratulations to the Ministry of Labour’s 16th newly appointed batch of officers. We consider the people an important asset and therefore give great importance to development so that you are equipped with the knowledge and skills to fulfil your duties to the best of your ability, be a good person of the community and be content in your personal lives. The Ministry of Labour aims to enhance the capacity of the workforce, and in parallel, improve the quality of your lives. I hope that you adjust well to your new role and work together as a team. Remember to keep developing yourselves in thought, work and as a person. Continue learning new technology trends and remain honest and sincere so that you become a star of the nation.”

             


              The onboarding will run for 11 days from 28 March to 7 April 2017, with a total of 59 participants. All officers will go through 3 stages of training which includes orientation, self-learning and a seminar, which is in accordance with the Office of the Civil Service Commission’s development plan. The curriculum aims to promote good principles, teach necessary skills, promote ethics, teamwork and good relations, as well as develop working networks. In addition to this, it targets improvement of skills in writing and conforming to government guidelines and teaches the newly appointed officers how to conduct themselves. 

            One of the participants, Miss Anong Sangchum from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, shared that herself and her family were proud of her to work for the people and nation. Miss Suthanya Pornhomeim from the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare on the other hand said she was happy and proud to be in such an honourable uniform, and that she would conduct herself to her best ability. Finally, Miss Nuttarada Aounmom from the Social Security Office said she was also proud of herself for giving her family pride, which was considered a success for her first bit step in life. She said that she was determined to make her family’s life better in terms of medical health and that her profession as a government officer was an honourable one.
