On 17 May 2017, Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti as president of the Ministry of Labour’s Ladies Association, chaired the award ceremony for the 2017 lucky draw, at the ministry’s foyer. She said, “The Ministry of Labour had located other source of funds for the Ladies Association. Every year a Red Cross event is hosted at the end of March; although it was not hosted this year, lucky draws were still sold and funds will be presented to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, as the Director of the Thai Red Cross Society and will be used for public services, including educational funding for government officers and warm clothing for safety officers.”
The first award was a Toyota Vios presented to Miss Saranya Makhirun, the second a special 3-year GSB lotto valued 200,000 Baht to Mrs. Supanee Meepol, the third award was a 4 Baht gold bar awarded to Mr. Weerawach Boonsong, the fourth was a 3 Baht gold necklace awarded Mrs.Piengpen Kongsak, the fifth was a 2 Baht gold bar awarded to Mr. Nawamin Hongthong, the sixth a 1 Baht gold bar awarded to Miss Supawadee Ngamkham and the seventh was 40 awards for 1 Salung gold necklaces, totaling 1,213,000 Baht. In addition to this, raincoats were presented to safety officers of the Ministry of Labour. All award recipients must receive the award in person, bringing along with them their ticket to the Government Administration Office at the Office of the Permanent Secretary.
