On 27 September 2010, the Office of Labour Affairs in Taipei together with the representatives from the Thai Trade and Economic Office participated in the 2010 foreign workers poetry & essay writing competition’s award giving ceremony, which was held by Taipei City Government, Department of Labour, to Mr. Aran Modee, a Thai worker who was imprisoned in Taipei Central Prison, who won the superb honorable mention award in his essay, “The Reflection of Foreign Workers”. On 27 September 2010, the Office of Labour Affairs in Taipei together with the representatives from the Thai Trade and Economic Office participated in the 2010 foreign workers poetry & essay writing competition’s award giving ceremony, which was held by Taipei City Government, Department of Labour, to Mr. Aran Modee, a Thai worker who was imprisoned in Taipei Central Prison, who won the superb honorable mention award in his essay, “The Reflection of Foreign Workers”. Mr. Ji-Yuh Change, Deputy Director of Department of Labour’s Taipei City Government, gave the shield and 5,000 dollars cash to Mr. Aran.
In addition, the Office of Labour Affairs in Taipei had an opportunity to meet with 57 Thai labours, who were imprisoned in Taipei Central Prison, who made a requested for a donation of books and sport gears in order for them to cope with their loneliness and homesick.
