On Saturday 10 March, 2012 the officials of the Office of Labour Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv went to visit Thai workers at Moshav Tidhar located at the Southern District of Tel Aviv. This Moshav grows vegetable crops for sale, and employs 19 Thai workers consisting of 16 male workers and 3 female workers. These workers earn 4,100 Shekel a month or around 40,001 Baht. According to the visit, the living condition was fairly good; however, the employer did not provide the receipt of salary payment. Therefore, the officials had explained all related rights for them and accepted to seek the solution as well as reminding them toward the threat of drugs which would cause detriment to workers and their jobs, and the harsh penalties of the local law. In addition, the officials also provided the National flags, the Royal flags of the King, and sport equipment so as to promote exercise and unity among workers.
Moreover, on the same date, the officials of the Office of Labour Affairs of the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv went to visit Thai workers at Moshav Te’ ashur located at the Southern District of Tel Aviv. The Moshav operates agricultural planting such as vegetable, potato, and tomato. In addition, all of its 11 Thai labour are male workers and these workers receive 4,100 Shekel a month or 40,001 Baht. According to the visit, the employer did not provide appropriate living condition and sufficient facilities such as bathrooms, toilets, kitchen tools and washing machines. Moreover, the employer also did not provide the receipt of salary payment; therefore, the officials had explained all related rights to the workers and accepted to seek the solution that will serve the best interest of workers. In addition, the officials also reminded those workers toward the threat of drugs which would cause detriment to workers and their jobs, and the harsh penalties of the local law. Lastly, Thai workers were given the National flags and the Royal flags of the King, and sport equipment so as to promote exercise and unity among workers.
