On the 2nd May 2015, Mr. Poonsak Pramong (Counselor on Labour) and Mr. Chakrit Rattanawit (interpreter) from the Labour Office in Abu Dhabi visited employers and employees of the Japanese Sports Center LLC., situated in the Al Maqta area on Airport Road, Abu Dhabi. The employers of the company had the intention of employing 4 additional staff, thus representatives of the Labour Office went to visit present Thai workers of the company. Upon inspection it was found that the company had 27 Thai employees. The workplace was clean and safe, with all workers receiving proper wages and compensation. Overall, workers were satisfied with the working conditions with an average monthly savings of 20,000 -25,000 Baht.

The Counsellor invited Thai workers to endorse the 5 Buddhist principles throughout working in Abu Dhabi. In addition to this, the Counsellor also provided knowledge on labour laws and motivated all Thai workers to continue working hard in order to maintain the positive reputation of Thai workers especially in terms of diligence, honesty and kindness which are qualities that foreign employers have commended Thai workers with.
