Assistant Minister from PM Office Performing Duties for MOL Chairs Opening Ceremony for Workplace Safety Officers Day Activities

          On November 12, 2021, at 09.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Pornsak Charoenprasert, to preside over the opening ceremony of the Workplace Safety Officers Day under the theme “Strengthening the Network of Safety Officers to Improve the Quality of Life for Thai workers.” The occasion took place at the meeting room of the Sisaket Polytechnic College, Muang District, Sisaket Province. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mr. Thanakrit Jirivipakorn, along with heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Sisaket Province and members of the Workplace Safety Officer’s Club, participated in this ceremony.
          Mr. Pornsak said that November 12 of every year is considered the Workplace Safety Officers Day. The Workplace Safety Officers profession helps to prevent and reduce accidents in the workplace. It operates under relevant laws and standards to help employees to be safe at work. In this regard, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, encouraged and commended all safety officers at work for performing duties with a heart so that all employees are safe at work. He thanked the Workplace Safety Officer’s Club in Sisaket Province and network partners, the government and private sectors, for participating in the activity, which is considered a service to the society to create knowledge, skill, and safety at work for students of Sisaket Polytechnic College today.
