Assistant Minister from the PM Office Performing Duties for MOL Visits Sisaket to Monitor Implementation of Labour Minister’s Policies

            On June 7, 2022, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Pornsak Charoenprasert, presided over the meeting to monitor the implementation of the Ministry of Labour’s policies of relevant agencies, under the Labour Minister’s order, and preparation to support the migration of foreign workers. The meeting took place with Cabinet Advisory Board members Mr. Thanakrit Jirivipakorn, Mr. Pairote Wongprom, and Mr. Aek Asavarekha at the Phu Sing District Office meeting room, Sisaket Province. Heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Sisaket Province, Phu Sing District Chief, the Sisaket Provincial Immigration Office, Phu Sing District Senior Permanent Secretary, the Phu Sing Police Station Superintendent, Special Unit 3, the Director of the Customs Control, Thai-Cambodian Border Coordination Unit, Area 1 and related agencies also joined the meeting. The meeting reported preparations to support the movement of migrant workers going through the Chong Sang Ngam border by working with all relevant parties. The Assistant Minister emphasized Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin’s policy to tighten permission to bring foreign workers to work in Thailand, following Section 64 and the MOU, strictly not allowing authorities to be involved in the illegal importation of foreign workers and human trafficking.
