Today (31 March 2017), Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti joined the viewing of the exhibition for the Civil Service Day 2017, representing the Ministry of Labour has the host of the event this year. The exhibition was placed at the Santi Maitree building at the Government Houses, where Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha gave a statement on the occasion. The Civil Service Day 2017 is organized annually to honour admirable and outstanding civil servants, allowing the people to see and understand their roles and importance. The forum held an exhibition on continuing royal wishes and the achievements of each unit throughout the 7 decades of reign by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The exhibition also showcased artists, the sustainable economy philosophy and the Thai father of energy development. Various booths were also organized such as identification card, passport and drivers’ license renewals, legal advisory services, 1111 People Services and professional demonstrations at the Office of the Civil Service Commission.
After the Prime Minister’s statement, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Wissanu Krea-ngam chaired the presentation of certificates and pins to 615 honoured and outstanding officers and officials for 2016. The Ministry of Labour had 10 recipients including Miss Anongnat Meesiri, Mr. Suriya Chanduang, Mrs. Pattaranit Sritabtim, Mr. Amnart Sangsrikaew, Mr. Methee Muangthong, Mrs. Tanyajira Thonpatpoonsin, Mr. Saichon Jamjaeng, Mr. Chaiyant Jetinai, Mr. Uthai Pongnanat and Mrs. Rosya Ampailapsook.
