Department of Labor Protection and Welfare is concerned about football fans, suggest appropriate time to prevent accidents and absenteeism.

          Mr. Ananchai Uthaiwattanachep, Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare revealed that the 2018 World Cup, which is scheduled to play from June 14 to July 15, 2018 is a period of football fans around the world to pay attention. Thailand is expected to have football fans to watch a lot of broadcast. However, in order to prevent the danger of work due to insufficient rest as well as to work late or absent from work, the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare is asking employees to allocate time to watch the broadcast. The World Cup is appropriate and there is enough rest time to prevent potential hazards from work. Especially employees who work on tools, machinery, or driving vehicles, as well as disciplinary action due to late or absenteeism.
          Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare said that in the employer’s part, The Department of Labor Protection and Welfare has requested cooperation to supervise the employees’ readiness to prevent accidents arising from their work and to supervise their employees from playing football at their establishments during the World Cup Festival.
