Former JSL Employees Happy for Labour Minister’s Efforts in Providing Professional Barista Training

The Labour Minister assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to encourage former JSL employees to attend professional barista training at the Labour College, Department of Skill Development.

          On August 2, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned his Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on Politics), Mrs. Thienrat Navamawat, the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour and the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mr. Wannarat Srisuksai, and the Department of Skill Development’s Director-General, Mr. Prateep Songlamyong, observed the training to give morale and encouragement to the trainees who are former employees of JSL Global Media Co., Ltd. who were laid off. The Department of Skill Development was instructed to organize urgent occupational training, following the government’s policy, under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and the Deputy Prime Minister General Prwit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour. The Ministry of Labour was assigned to provide full assistance in skills training to increase career opportunities in other positions, following the government policy of “leaving no one behind.” The former employees opted for the professional barista course with the Department of Skill Development. A total of 25 people joined the 30-hour course between August 1 to 5, 2022, at the Labour College, Department of Skill Development.

          The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, revealed that the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, cares about the workforce. Therefore, she was assigned to visit the area to encourage the trainees to continue fighting for life. She sincerely hoped the training would allow participants will bring their knowledge from the barista course about different types of coffee, developing coffee packaging, how to properly store coffee beans, how to use and maintain a coffee machine, how to brew espresso correctly, the methods for calculating costs and determining the appropriate selling price, and the do’s and don’ts in coffee brewing, including marketing methods, sales channels, and services, to allow them to continue this in business.
