“Gen. Adul” ordered the Department of Welfare and Welfare to help the workers be laid off at the town hall, Phatthalung to get paid.

         On June 6, 2018, Mrs.Petcharat Sinauy, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labor as the spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor revealed that H.E. The 10 gardeners and cleaners at Patthalung Hall, Phatthalung province, complained to reporters on June 4 that they had been hired by a construction company. The Labor Ministry has ordered the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare to check the area and provide assistance to protect employees in order to gain legal rights.

          Mrs Petcharat added that due to the factual inspection of labor inspectors The Office of Welfare and Labor Protection, Phatthalung Province found that Sombattip Construction and Cleaning Co., Ltd. is located at 16 Moo 11, Chai Buri, Muang, Phatthalung, Thailand. Mr. Sombat Chumthong, a managing partner, entered into a contract to clean up the building with the two Phatthalung City Hall. On April 18th, Mrs. Tiprada Chunyam with 10 of them were employed by Sombattip Construction Co., Ltd. Clement has met with labor inspectors, Office of Welfare and Labor Protection Phatthalung Province to seek advice and lodge a complaint that the employer pays the wage paid on April 7 as the wage of the work from March 1-31, 2018. Usually the employee is paid monthly. The minimum wage is 5,600 baht per month and the maximum is 7,000 baht per month.

Later, the Office of Welfare and Labor Protection Phatthalung has a letter to the Governor of the province to request payment of wages to employees, but the province has terminated the contract with the company and the province will take the insurance money to pay to employees, but can not pay because of the return of the warehouse. The Labor Inspectorate has issued an order No. 3/2018 dated May 30, 61. The Company paid the outstanding wages from March 1 to April 30, 2018, amounting to baht 118,400 and the minimum wage from the start of the contract is 1 October 2017 – 30 April 2018 to 229,100 baht, totaling 347,500 baht, as a wage to the next employee.
