“Gen Adul” raised the ILO ratification of the 29th International Labor Standards Protection Act.

          On June 2, 2018, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, along with Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labor, and the delegation met Mr. Sek Wannametee, Ambassador Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva on the occasion of the 107th International Labor Organization (ILC) Convention, 1 – 7 June 2018 in Geneva, Swiss Confederation as a member of the International Labor Organization (ILO) since 1962, the Minister of Labor met Mr. Guy Ryder, ILO Director General and registered the ratification of the Protocol to the 1930 Supplement to the 1930 Workers’ Code of Conduct, and made a statement to the General Conference on June 4.

           The 107th session of the ILO will be a confirmation of Thailand’s intention to cooperate with Thailand as a member of the International Labor Organization (ILO) on measures to help and protect labor, comply with human rights principles, raising awareness for the general public, job seekers, workers, employers, including relevant authorities on mandatory labor issues, and encouraging stakeholders to take responsibility and promote respect human rights. This leads to the avoidance of problems and the solution to human trafficking in Thailand.
