“Gen. Adul” revealed that Thailand was selected to host the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Labor 2019.

Police General Adul Sangsingkeo, Minister of Labor, along with Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor, Mr. Sek Wannametee, Ambassador The Permanent Representative of Thailand to the United Nations in Geneva, and Ms. Chuleerat Thongtip, Consultant (Labor), Permanent Representative to Geneva, attended the ASEAN Labor Minister’s Meeting ) At Geneva Mandarin Oriental Geneva Hotel, Swiss Confederation While attending the 107th Annual ILO Conference, the meeting was held in the usual manner. This is a combination of labor ministers in ASEAN Member States to demonstrate the potential and solidarity of ASEAN in the global arena. The host country will be rotated accordingly. This year, Singapore will host. And Thailand was chosen to host the meeting in 2016.

          Gen. Adul told the meeting that Thailand would host the meeting the following year, it was a great honor for Thailand to preside over the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting in 2016 and to be the ASEAN Chair as well as being a coordinator between ASEAN and the ILO during the years 2560 – 2563, to reflect ASEAN’s success and affirm ASEAN’s position as a sub-regional power organization to support the world of work and careers.
