Mr. Tossapol Kritwongviman, Deputy Director General of the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare revealed that creating awareness and awareness of safety are the basic principle of the safety and health of Thailand or Safety Thailand. It requires cooperation from all parties involved in the public. The Outstanding Prototype Employee Safety, Occupational Health and Working Environment Contest is an activity that the Department of Labor Protection and Welfare is working on to allow employers and employees to work together to develop and upgrade their safety standards in the workplace. It also praises and honors the establishments that have good safety management. It can be used as a guideline to improve working conditions that are safer.
Mr. Tossapol further pointed out that the criterion for the selection of the best model for safety, occupational health and working environment for the year 2018 is as follows:
1. The business establishments participating in the activities must strictly comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2011 and have never been prosecuted for safety. 2. The rate of occupational injury up to a strike period of more than 3 days during the 2-year period of the work. It must be reduced by at least 5% by comparison with the rate of work hazard by 2017 compared with 2016. 3. Good safety management system in accordance with international standards. 4. There is a volunteer spirit, discipline and culture in the establishment and establishment of a safety clinic in the workplace.
