On 13 June 2017, Counsellor Minister (on Labour) Mrs. Suchada Cheecharoen said, “The Labour Office in Japan at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo has partnered with the Department of Skills Development in collecting applications for skill standard assessments for Thai cuisine for level 1 and 2, in preparation for the national skill standard assessments on 10-11 July 2017 at the Thai Cultural Studies Center then culinary skills assessments for level 1-2 capabilities from 12-13 July 2017 at the same location. The award ceremony of certificates will be held on 14 July at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo.”
The Counsellor Minister invited interested persons to join the program which is free of expenses, except assessment fees which cost 100 Baht each. Successor of the assessments will then be awarded both Thai and English language certificates by the Department of Skills Development to verify their Thai culinary skills.
