The Labour Affairs Office in Singapore in collaboration with Dr. Chantorn Pakdeethai M.D. from Alexandra Hospital in Singapore provided medical checkup services and advice to Thai workers on the 25th of December 2014 being Christmas Day and a holiday in Singapore, from 8.00 to 17.00 hours at the labour services center outside Government working hours of the Labour Affairs Office on the 3rd floor of the Golden Mile Building. A total of 100 Thai workers participated in the event.

In the past, the Singaporean Labour Affairs Office had given importance in ensuring Thai workers’ health whereby providing PR to workers in maintaining healthy as well as inviting doctors to assist in the medical checkups and provide advice when visiting Thai workers’ accommodation. In addition to this, they had always had activities focusing on worker’s looking after their health, sports activities involving Officials at the Singaporean Labour Affairs Office and Thai workers on Labour Day as well as football matches for example.
