On March 16, 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy in Berlin held a seminar on Thai laws for long-term stay Thai people at the embassy’s Villa Building. Some 70 participants attended the event and inquired about the laws.
At the event, director-general of the Department of Consular Affairs was invited to give participants information about Thailand’s senatorial election. Participants could also inquire about laws concerning dual citizenship, assets possession rights, rights and duties for half-Thais from provincial prosecutors. Mrs. Kanchanaporn Saikal, Labour Attaché, meanwhile, gave lecture to participants on labour laws in Germany, covering employees’ rights. Mrs. Kanchanaporn also launched a labour volunteers programme in Germany, for the third time. She informed about roles of labour volunteers, including being a medium to convey labour information to Thai communities in Berlin. The programme was well received by labour volunteers.
