On January 18, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area and encourage insured persons under Section 33 to get their third jab (booster dose) of the COVID-19 vaccine at Section 33 Insured Persons Vaccination Center, Central Rama 9 Shopping Center, Ratchadaphisek Road, Huai Khwang District, Bangkok. The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics), Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, also joined the occasion. Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, is concerned about the health and safety of workers and insured persons. As such, they have intensified policies to contain the Omicron strain of COVID-19 and urged all agencies to be fully vigilant and provide important measures to provide booster doses to build immunity and reduce the severity of the virus. Today, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned her and the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) to visit COVID-19 Vaccination Center for booster doses at the Central Rama 9 Shopping Center, Ratchadaphisek Road. The vaccination center is under the responsibility of the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 3. The number of insured persons who need a third dose of vaccinations is 175,086. Medical staff and nurses from Paolo Hospital Chokchai 4 are vaccination providers. The facility can vaccinate 1,200 people per day. The third dose vaccination services will be open from January 17 to March 31, 2022, for a total of 52 working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that for the third does of COVID-19 vaccination for insured persons; there are 20 vaccination points in Bangkok and 13 vaccination points in the ten important economic areas (Songkhla, Chonburi, Rayong, Chachoengsao, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya). Hospitals have provided cooperation in the social security system, ready to carry out vaccinations to insured persons to achieve the best value, and can continue to do so. They asked that insured persons under Section 33, when they know the appointment schedule, please get ready, as with all previous vaccinations, get enough sleep, abstain from strenuous exercise, wear a shirt that is convenient for vaccinations, such as a short-sleeved shirt, and most importantly, have their original ID card with them on the day of vaccination and arrive on time as scheduled. The effort will allow insured persons to join in building group immunity together.
