The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to preside over the commencement of the training project to develop volunteer house builders in the community. They also met, visited, and encouraged trainees and border patrol police volunteers, local leaders, communities, and people in the area. Director of the Phetchaburi Skills Development Office, Mr. Nikorn Nimsai, the Phetchaburi Labour Protection and Welfare Officer Ms. Phattrawan Kluklaydee, the Ban Laem District Chief Mr. Saran Ketthong, representatives of community leaders, administrative departments, and security departments, attended the occasion at the Bang Khun Sai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Ban Laem District, Phetchaburi Province.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, and the Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin gives importance to the skills development of workers to enhance career security, to provide jobs, earn an income and upgrade the quality for people in the local community. The Ministry of Labour by the Department of Skill Development and the Office of Skill Development has worked with the Phetchaburi Provincial Red Cross, the Border Patrol Police Headquarters (Camp Naresuan), the Phetchaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, the Bang Khun Sai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and community leaders in the area, to organize a training program for construction carpentry courses for people volunteers in the area. The training will be delivered in three batches, with 20 people each, totaling 60 people. The course has a 30-hour training period which will improve participants’ knowledge and skills in construction carpentry, for helping to repair and build houses for the needy, according to their goals.
Mrs. Thiwalrat continued that today, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned her to visit the area with relevant agencies to support following the construction carpentry training program for volunteers. The program aims to build deteriorated houses for low-income community members in Moo 7 and Moo 9, Bang Khun Sai Subdistrict, Ban Laem District, for three households. They received partial budget support under the project to help build and repair homes for the poor, the underprivileged, the handicapped, and those suffering from various disasters in 2022 from the Phetchaburi Provincial Red Cross. This project will raise awareness of people in the community’s generosity and help each other, leading to love, unity, and strength in the community. It will support the underprivileged, the poor, and the target groups in the community to receive assistance to alleviate their suffering and to have a stable, safe, and secure home with good morale. It will create volunteer construction carpenters in the community area too.
