On June 15, 2022, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan visit the area to support and donate items to unwell insured persons in hospitals under the Social Security Scheme. They visited sick insured persons in the Intermediate Care unit to build morale and encouragement. The visits took place at the Khao Yoi Hospital, Tha Yang Hospital, and Cha-am Hospital, which are hospitals in the Social Security Office’s network in Phetchaburi province. Phetchaburi Social Security Officer Mrs. Rassamee Sujato, Head of the Cha-am Branch Ms. Sukanya Siangwan, heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phetchaburi Province, Director of Khao Yoi Hospital, Dr. Orawan Tavetiphong, Director of Cha-am Hospital, Dr. Prapasit Chomchuen, and staff of Thayang Hospital gave a welcome.
The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, revealed that the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, is concerned for employees who are insured persons who have suffered harm or illnesses. They attach great importance to taking care of insured persons in every aspect. The Ministry of Labour by the Social Security Office intends to take care of insured workers to ensure protection and a guarantee of stability at work to access rights following the standards of medical services. The efforts aim to ensure that the hospital is responsible for providing medical services to insured persons 24 hours a day. If the insured person is sick or has an emergency accident, they can immediately receive treatment in the nearest hospital without being asked for rights before treatment. There would be no need to pay in advance for medical expenses, and they would not be deprived of treatment and receive care until the end of the treatment. Today, the Labour Minister assigned her to visit the area to give gifts to encourage the unwell insured persons admitted to Khao Yoi Hospital, Tha Yang Hospital, and Cha-am Hospital, a total of 40 people. They also assured the insured persons that the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office is ready to supervise and develop an efficient medical service system. This is an important policy to create satisfaction for the insured persons.
The Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, thanked the staff and medical personnel of the three hospitals for their cooperation in facilitating the provision of medical services and the effective treatment of sick insured persons to build confidence in the medical service system. The efforts follow the Labour Minister’s policies on taking care of the insured persons like family members and the government’s policy to leave no one behind.
