On January 28, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Advisor, Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, to visit the area and encourage insured persons under Section 33 to get their third jab (booster dose) of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Vaccination Center in Central Plaza Department Store, Mahachai Branch, Rama 2 Road, Nadi Subdistrict, Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province. The Social Security Office’s Inspector-General Ms. Pannika Luangsuri, the Samut Sakhon Provincial Social Security Officer Mrs. Ratchanee Phupromphan, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Samut Sakhon Province also joined the occasion.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour, is concerned for the health and safety of workers and insured persons and has intensive policies to contain the Omicron strain of COVID-19. They have urged all agencies to be fully vigilant and provide important measures for providing the third vaccine dose (booster dose) to build immunity and reduce the severity of the virus. Today, the Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, assigned her to visit the COVID-19 Vaccination Center for booster doses at Central Plaza Department Store, Mahachai Branch. The vaccination facility is under the responsibility of the Samut Sakhon Social Security Office Area. The number of insured persons who need a third dose of vaccinations is 65,521. Medical staff and nurses from Samut Sakhon Hospital are vaccination providers. The facility can vaccinate 1,300 people per day. The third dose vaccination services will be open from January 17 to March 31, 2022, totaling 52 working days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Mrs. Thiwalrat said that Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin is satisfied with the work of the vaccination center that has good management. There is an appointment queue in advance for insured persons to receive the services to prepare beforehand. The Social Security Office has arranged the vaccination queue for the establishments in the order of requesting the vaccination according to the survey data. Employers have registered via the e-service system since December 2021. Employers will be coordinated via telephone and an e-mail from the Social Security Office informing the date, time, and location for the employer/HR to arrange insured persons to get service. The effort helps facilitate and reduce congestion and waiting time. Insured persons who have been scheduled for appointments can receive vaccinations at 20 vaccination points designated by the Social Security Office in Bangkok and 13 vaccination points in the ten key economic areas (Songkhla, Chonburi, Rayong, Chachoengsao, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, and Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya).
Today’s visit was on behalf of the Ministry of Labour. She thanked and encouraged the medical personnel and Social Security Office staff providing good services to insured persons. She thanked the management of Central Plaza Department Store, Mahachai branch, for the generosity of providing the facility. And most importantly, she thanked all insured persons under Section 33 for getting the vaccinations to build immunity and encourage each other to stop the spread of COVID-19.
