On February 21, 2022, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong as chairperson of the meeting with the Thailand Labour Organization. The Labour Minister’s Advisor Mr. Manas Kosol, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mrs. Tongjai Suthat Na Ayutthaya, the Department of Skill Development’s Deputy Director-General, Ms. Pailin Jindamaneeporn, the Social Security Office’s Deputy Secretariat Mrs. Natchanon Chaithawornpong and the Ministry of Labour’s executives joined the meeting. The meeting considered the minimum wage, the annual wage structure, and the payment of social security pensions when insured persons retire to cover ongoing medical expenses. It also discussed issues in establishing a risk insurance fund to assist employees if employers close their businesses and canceling the NCPO’s announcements that exercise the employer’s right to amend work regulations without passing through the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare’s Director-General. The occasion took place at the meeting room of the Bangkok Social Security Office Area 3, Ministry of Labour.
