Labour Minister Assigns Five Labour Leaders to Contribute Money to the Family of the Deceased Thai Women Who Fell from a Building in Oman and Join the Funeral in Sakon Nakhon

          The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, spoke about the case of Praew, or Ms. Supharat Nganlasam, 30, a Thai woman who had an accident and fell from a four-story building in Bella City, Oman, on May 27. The Ministry of Labour has assigned Ms. Palida Ruamkham, Minister Counselor on Labour at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, to coordinate with the Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat to transport the body of the deceased back home, according to the wishes of relatives. On June 8, the Ministry of Labour assigned the Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-Generals, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, to lead the delegation, traveling with staff from the International Cooperation Bureau, the Suvarnabhumi Immigration Point, and Suvarnabhumi Airport staff, and the Petchkasem Foundation. They coordinated with the Sakon Nakhon Provincial Labour Office to pick up Praew’s body at Suvarnabhumi Airport to be returned to her home in Tao Noi District, Sakon Nakhon Province.
          On the evening of June 9, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Sakon Nakhon Province, such as the Sakon Nakhon Provincial Labour Office, the Provincial Employment Office, the Skills Development Office, and the Provincial Labour Protection and Welfare Office, to join the funeral chanting ceremony for Praew. Sakon Nakhon Provincial Governor Mrs. Chureerat Thep-At hosted the prayer ceremony. The Tao Noi District Chief also joined the occasion with the family and relatives of the deceased. On this occasion, the Labour Minister assigned Sakon Nakhon Provincial Labour Officer Mrs. Natthakrita Dahan, and heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour gave 20,000 Baht to support the family of Ms. Supara which created a lot of appreciation for Praew’s family and relatives. The government, the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the relevant agencies successfully transported the deceased’s body.
          As for the progress of the case, the Labour Minister asked the Minister Counselor on Labour at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi to work closely with the Royal Thai Embassy in Muscat, Oman. When the police conclude, the progress will be reported further.
