Labour Minister Assigns Inspector General and the Five Labour Leaders to Gather Funds to Support the Families of Victims of the Mass Shooting in Nong Bua Lamphu

          Mr. Suchart Chomklin spoke about the support to help the families of the victims of the mass shooting in Nong Bua Lamphu Province. He said that the Ministry of Labour by the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, together with the Ministry of Labour’s civil servants and officials, gathered money to support the families of the deceased and to give them comfort, in line with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, General. Prayuth Chan-ocha’s orders instructed the relevant agencies to support the families urgently. On the Ministry of Labour’s part, the Permanent Secretary of Labour assigned the Social Security Office’s Inspector-General, Air Chief Marshal Supaporn Yuwattana, as the Ministry of Labour’s representative, to visit the area with heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Nong Bua Lamphu Province. The funds were donated to the relatives of the deceased, amounting to 5,000 Baht per family, totaling 32 families. The occasion took place at three temples where the relatives of the deceased prayed, including 17 families at Wat Rat Samakkhi, ten families at Wat Si Uthai, and five families at Wat Thepmongkol Phichai. The total funds amounted to 160,000 Baht.
          “Me and all the executives, civil servants, and officials of the Ministry of Labour would like to send encouragement to all the families of the deceased. The funds here aim to support the families of the Ministry of Labour’s government officials. The five departments under the Ministry of Labour have also assisted, especially in recruitment and supplementary vocational training according to the wishes of the families of those affected at this time,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
