Labour Minister Assigns Secretariat to Follow Up JOB EXPO & Co-Payment Project Results in Chonburi

          Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned his Secretariat to join the meeting to follow up on the implementation of the JOB EXPO THAILAND 2020 and the employment promotion program for new graduates by the public and private sectors (Co-Payment) in Chonburi, enjoining all departments to drive for concrete results, and report the results periodically.

          On November 11, 2020, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayavong, to chair the meeting with heads of government agencies in Chonburi, to follow up on recruitment following the JOB EXPO THAILAND 2020, and the employment promotion program for new graduates, by the public and private sectors (Co-Payment) in Chonburi. The Labour Minister’s Secretariat said that Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha gives importance to promoting employment to help people affected by Covid-19 to find work, earn a living, and help restore the economy to recover as soon as possible. The Labour Minister, therefore, assigned him to meet and follow up on the implementation of the said project. The Labour Minister gave thanks to everyone who invited companies to join the job booths at the JOB EXPO. Today, he has instructed all agencies to integrate and work together to create a model for Chonburi province to drive concrete results. He has requested the report the results to be periodical and may ask the central government to improve the system, whereby the Department of Employment informs the list of job applicants separated by educational background, to be sent to the province to pass on the information in the joint integration between the departments in the future.

          Mr. Suthep continued that in terms of Chonburi’s job placement results, data as of November 10, 2020, showed 25,642 vacancies submitted for JOB EXPO THAILAND 2020, whereby 3,472 people have already been employed. For the employment promotion program for new graduates, by the public and private sectors (Co-Payment), there were 217 companies with 3,558 positions, with 1,264 applicants.
