Labour Minister Assigns Secretariat to Visit Trainees Developing Skills and Promoting Careers to Create Economic Stability for People in Phatthalung Province

On July 7, 2024, at 09.30 hours, the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, assigned the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, to visit skills development training under the skill development and career promotion project to create economic stability for the people according to the royal initiative project course on adding value to products made from bulrush. From the Prime Minister’s Secretariat’s Office, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, and Mr. Phuchong Worasri, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mr. Phumiphat Mueanchan, joined in honour. Director of the Phatthalung Skill Development Office, Mrs. Rattana Thaworn, gave a welcome address. Heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phatthalung Province and trainees joined in providing a welcome at the Ban Hua Pa Khiao Arts and Crafts Center, Thale Noi Subdistrict, Khuan Khanun District, Phatthalung Province.

Mr. Aree and the delegation listened to a summary of performance results of one sub-district group of independent occupations, namely the bulrush product processing group, the weaving group, and the hand-embroidery group, and visited the activities that agencies under the Ministry of Labour in Phatthalung Province brought to service the people in the area as follows:
1. The Phatthalung Provincial Labour Office publicizes the registration of independent workers through mobile application by labour volunteers.
2. The Phatthalung Provincial Labour Protection and Welfare Office provided demonstrations on how to work for health, hygiene, and safety at work. They gave a set of fire extinguishers to Silpa Ban Hua Pa Khiao member representatives.
3. The Social Security Office provided services for applying for Section 40.
4. The Phatthalung Provincial Employment Office provided services for setting up homeworker groups and applying for fund loans for homeworker groups.
5. The Phatthalung Skill Development Office conducted vocational training according to the skill development and career promotion project to create economic stability for the people. The target group is workers under the royal initiative project, promoting the policy of “One Tambon, One Independent Occupation Group” in the course on bulrush product decoration.
