Labour Minister Concerned for Workers, Assigns Assistant to Visit and Encourage Construction Workers in Case of Unpaid Wages in Sisaket

          On March 21, 2022, at 10.00 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Assistant Minister from the Prime Minister’s Office, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Pornsak Charoenprasert, and the Labour Minister’s Advisor Mr. Thanakrit Jirivipakorn, to visit the area, meet and encourage workers at the Sisaket Feed Mill (CPF) and witness the payment of unpaid accrued wages for 173 construction workers. Today, 91 workers were paid. This group was the first batch, where the total payment was 363,267 Baht. For the remaining 82 people, Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL or CPF, with heads of government agencies under the Ministry of Labour, Sisaket Province, will be the witness.
          In this regard, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin had concerns for the workers. He instructed agencies under the Ministry of Labour to assist workers who have suffered, following the framework of authority. Mr. Peerapong Withithanavanich, the Factory Manager, will ensure the compensation is paid and will recruit all construction workers, according to their potential, back to work at the camp.
