The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson, Mr. Phumiphat Mueanchan, as the chairman of the working group driving the development of independent career potential under the “One Tambon, One Independent Career Group” policy, said that the Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, is satisfied with the continuous progress of the work results. Most recently, the selection of 400 independent career groups from all over the country, which is the first phase of the initiative, has been completed. The second phase will start, which is the selection of one pilot group per province to develop the potential in a comprehensive manner, from the production of quality products and increasing their value to sourcing for both domestic and international markets, which will start from October 1, 2024, and be completed by the end of this year. As for the remaining groups, they will be expedited to develop according to the needs of the groups until all 400 groups are completed by March 31, 2025.
The Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson said that the Labour Minister gives importance to people who have regular employment, but may not have sufficient income. Therefore, he aims to promote second or third professions to create living stability by supporting people to have additional professions in both freelance and home-based jobs.
