Labour Minister Inspects Tha Chatchai Checkpoint in Phuket Ready for Tourists

          On July 1, 2021, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha visited the area to check the Tha Chatchai checkpoint accepting foreign tourists following the Phuket Sandbox model. The Labour Minister, Mr. Suchart Chomklin, also participated in this visit to observe the screening of tourists at the Phuket checkpoint (Tha Chatchai checkpoint) by the form of inspection of convoys entering the province. Every passing car must open its windows for the officers to check the vaccine certificate or a 7-day COVID test result. Phuket province is a pilot area for receiving foreign tourists to allow Thai tourism to return to be an important engine in driving the country’s economic and social development to continue to grow.
