On April 2, 2025, at 13.30 hours, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, chaired the meeting to determine occupational health and safety measures for large construction businesses in Bangkok and surrounding areas, No. 1/2025. Mr. Siraphop Duangsodsri, Assistant to the Labour Minister, Mr. Aree Krainara, the Secretariat to the Labour Minister, Mr. Phuchong Worasri, assigned to the Office of the Prime Minister and currently serving at the Ministry of Labour, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Lieutenant Commander Saroj Khomkhai, the Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, representatives from government agencies, construction project owners, contractors, and construction safety specialists attended the meeting in full force at the Pakorn Angsusingh meeting room, 10th floor, Department of Skill Development Building. Due to the collapse of the bridge structure on Rama II Road, the Ministry of Labour has urgently implemented proactive measures to prevent a similar incident from happening again. Therefore, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare organized a meeting of relevant agencies to determine occupational health and safety measures for large construction businesses in Bangkok and surrounding areas. The meeting was attended by government agencies, state enterprises, primary contractors, subcontractors, and safety specialist organizations.
