On December 11, 2018, at 14.00 hours, Labour Minister H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo presided over the signing ceremony of wind turbine blades for the “Tung Kang Han Rom Klao Windmill Farm” project, at Romklao, Nikhom Kham Soi, Mukdahan. He said that the government under the leadership of Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha has focused on the development of energy security of the country and the promotion of environmentally friendly energy use. It is set in the 20-year national strategy on creating growth on an environmentally friendly quality of life, that aims to increase the share of renewable and alternative energy, fossil fuels in electricity as well as developing effective and flexible electrical management methods on both supply and demand side, to support stable alternative energy in the system. It also aims to promote discipline, develops and transfer technology for energy storage to be able to generate electricity from renewable energy and alternative energy at a higher proportion and with more centralized distribution.
Winchai Co., Ltd., has a purpose of producing electricity from wind energy, a clean energy alternative for distribution of electricity by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), in line with the government policy. It’s projects also demonstrate the potential of wind power in the area of Nikhom Kham Soi, which can support the country’s energy production efficiently, resulting in stability and sustainable energy in the future.
