On November 19, 2021, at 16.30 hours, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin joined the “Loy Krathong the new way: Continuing Thai traditions with one family and 1 Krathong, keeping distance and wearing hygiene masks to stay disease-free and safe”. Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha and his wife, Mrs. Naraporn Chan-ocha, chaired the ceremony at the Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem next to the Government Houses. The Labour Minister attended an exhibition showcasing the knowledge, essence, values , and practices for the Loy Krathong Festival during the COVID-19 pandemic. It showcased Krathongs in the Royal Court and Krathongs in the four regions. They watched the cultural river show by the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute before joining the Loy Krathong ceremony with the Cabinet. Participants prayed before floating their Krathongs. After that, they watched a simulation of the floating market lifestyle as well.
