The Labour Minister, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, said that the Ministry of Labour is very pleased that TAT places importance on the development and upgrading of service sector workers. This is in line with the intention of the Ministry of Labour, which has a policy aimed at improving the quality of life of workers in tourist provinces by adjusting wages appropriately. Initially, the goal is to increase the minimum wage to 400 Baht per day, and the Ignite Tourism Thailand: TAT Skill Factory project is considered a part of preparing and directly developing the workforce by building on the training and workshop activities of various courses by the Department of Skill Development under the Ministry of Labour. This will help increase the potential and improve the quality of the workforce in related basic skills, create value that is in demand in the labour market, and create employment confidence for employers that they will receive quality workers, have a mind to provide service at international standards, and have the skills and ability to provide services efficiently. This will have a positive impact on business operations and increase marketing opportunities for establishments.

The Ignite Tourism Thailand: TAT Skill Factory activity, scheduled on June 15 to 16 at the Ambassador Hotel in Bangkok, is organized under the Ignite Tourism Thailand policy that focuses on enhancing the potential and various skills of personnel in the tourism industry with the heart of excellent service to impress and help push Thailand to be a Tourism Hub, a destination for tourists around the world.
