Labour Minister Launches Jobs for Thailand 4.0

          Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul chaired the commencement of the “Jobs for Thailand 4.0: Food, Hotel and Tourism Innovation” event at Siam Square Soi 5. He said that since many years ago, Thailand has been famous for its food, tourism and services which generates an income of over 1.5 trillion Baht annually. The sectors have also created employment for over 5 million people. As a result, the government has given focus to the country’s strengths and have targeted the tourism and health tourism industries as 1 of 10 new engines of growth, which will drive the nation towards a Thailand 4.0.

 

 


          The “Jobs for Thailand 4.0: Food, Hotel and Tourism Innovation” event was arranged to prepare the workforce to support the 20-year national strategies and government policy on a Thailand 4.0. The event was also promoted the “global Thai kitchen” policy, where the Ministry of Education presented numerous syllabuses on services and tourism and companies presented future trends on labour demand and creation of employment. The event also had help recruitment activities for employers and jobseekers to meet directly. 

The event was attended by many, and people in the area were particularly drawn to the presentation of a wallet application used for job applications, showing the integration of technology and recruitment. A showcase was also presented on “The Future of Work”, with demonstrations on several freelance professions.
