Labour Minister Meets with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security to Discuss Increased Quota for Thai Workers in the Israeli Agricultural Sector

On January 14, 2025, Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Minister of Labour, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Somchai Maruksriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, Ms. Pannabha Chandraramya, Ambassador of Thailand to Israel, Mr. Sakdinart Sonthisakyotin, Assistant to the Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Kittithana Srisuriya, Minister Counselor (on Labour) and the Ministry of Labour’s executives, discussed official matters with Mr. Avi Dicter, Minister of Agriculture and Food Security in Jerusalem, Israel. Representatives from the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel also attended. Mr. Avi Dicter thanked the Minister of Labour and his delegation for visiting Israel. He informed them that the quota for hiring Thai workers in the agricultural sector to work in the State of Israel in 2025 has increased by 13,000 positions.
