On 6 February 2017 at 14.30 hours, H.E. Mr. Hun Manet, vice chairman of the committee for legalizing Cambodian workers residing in Thailand will lead his team on courtesy call to meet Labour Minister General Sirichai Distakul. The two parties will discuss issues concerning Cambodian nationals in Thailand such as the acceleration of the nationality verification process and the distribution process of passports and travel documents for migrants (TD) to Cambodian workers. They will also discuss collaboration on efforts to spread awareness for both employers and Cambodian workers to understand the relevant processes. The consultation is expected to bring in more Cambodian nationals in alignment with the signed Memorandum of Understanding and set frameworks.
