Labour Minister Prepares to Welcome PM for Ministerial Meeting

            The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and spokesperson Mr. Ananchai Uthaipatanacheep revealed that on 29 June 2017, the Ministry of Labour will host the fourth ministerial meeting of the year at the Jompol P. Pibulsongkram conference room, which will be chaired by Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha. He said that the Labour Minister has given great emphasis to systematic management of foreign workers, ensuring all processes are executed precisely and orderly.
    Mr. Ananchai explained that Permanent Secretary of Labour M.L. Puntrik Smiti will report the ministry’s progress and present the laying of foundations which aim to improve the quality of informal workers’ lives in alignment with the PM target. The Permanent Secretary will also request collaboration from all relevant units in forming an accurate informal worker information database to meet the 2022 target of eliminating poverty in Thailand and never leaving anyone behind.
