On April 12, 2022, at 08.15 hours, Permanent Secretary of Labour, Mr. Boonchob Suttamanaswong, joined the ceremony to carry on the culture and traditions of the Songkran Festival for 2022. The occasion consisted of a monk ceremony, a ceremony to bathe the Buddha, and a watering ceremony for blessings for good fortune and to join in the continuation of Thai culture in the Songkran tradition. The occasion took place under measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus and the Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration requirements. Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha presided over the ceremony at the Phakdi Bordin Building Government House.
