The Ministry of Labour’s Inspector-General and spokesperson Mr. Ananchai Uthaipatanacheep spoke about the Labour Minister as he chaired the ceremony upon receiving the automobile paint training center from Nippon Paint (Thailand) at the Nakhon Sawan Skills Development Center Region 8 today (23 June 2017). The Labour Minister said, “Thank you Nippon Paint (Thailand) for seeing the importance in people development; this is the heart of success for business and overall national development. The establishment of an automobile paint training center has been a collaborative effort between the public and private sector, focusing on improving business coupled with environmental sustainability because all of the company’s materials are environmentally friendly – this will help drive the green jobs initiative forwards.” The Labour Minister then visited training in automobile maintenance in collaboration with Thai Yamaha Motors, and then visited the project in partnership between the Department of Skills Development and the Ministry of Interior’s Military Circle 31 which focuses on preparing decommission military before entering the workforce. The project encompasses 4 curriculums including basic automobile maintenance, aluminum and gypsum frame installation, building wiring and air conditioning maintenance.
The Labour Minister then visited Environment Pulp and Paper in Takhli district, the nation’s largest manufacturing of paper processing 100,000 tons annually. The material is environmentally friendly as it uses bagasse as its raw material, which is the residue left after sugar cane juice extraction, reducing tree cutting by 33 million trees each year. This is in alignment with government policy on green jobs which promotes environmental awareness in business.
