On July 13, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin received “Sealect Daily” food products and consumables from Mr. Suksan Yosasin, Chief Executive Officer of Chayo Group PCL, Mr. Chawanin Bunditkitsada, Chairman of Executive Committee and Chief Executive Officer of Pre-Built Holdings Co., Ltd., and Mr. Wirot Charoentra, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Pre-Built Holdings Co., Ltd. The donations were made to support and help workers affected by the measures to close worker camps to prevent Covid-19. The occasion took place at the Chatumongkol Room, 6th floor, Ministry of Labour.

Mr. Suchart said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, is concerned about the workforce impacted by the CCSA’s measures to close the construction worker’s camp. The measures aim to restrict the travels and movement of workers in the dark red provinces such as Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, and Nakhon Pathom for one month, to control the spread of Covid-19 in worker camp clusters. The Ministry of Labour was assigned to take care of the affected workers by paying compensation for unemployment benefits at 50 percent of their wages.

“The Ministry of Labour thanks the private sector, such as Chayo Group PCL and Pre-Built Holdings, for joining with the government in supporting consumables to support workers affected by the measures to close worker campsites,” concluded Mr. Suchart.
