Everything went smoothly following the procedures and measures set by the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Disease Control.

Mr. Suchart spoke about the commencement of the proactive COVID-19 screening. Due to the new wave of COVID-19 outbreaks, many people in close contact with high-risk groups need to undergo testing, causing congestion in many public and private hospitals and people to wait in long queues. To facilitate insured persons and the public to get screened quickly, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, and the Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, instructed the Social Security Office to work with the Ministry of Interior (MOI), the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the National Health Security Office (NHSO) to provide proactive COVID-19 screening for those insured under Sections 33, 39 and 40 and the general public, under the “Workforce Fighting Together” program. The facility is at the West Sports Building 1, Bangkok Youth Center (Thai-Japan), Din Daeng District, Bangkok. There is an online registration process to reserve a queue for the test. People can visit Google and type the word “Workforce Fighting Together” or click the following link https://sso.icntracking.com/icntracking/self_register.php. In the form, they must enter their 13-digit identification number or passport number, fill out risk assessment information required by the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Disease Control to determine who the risk groups are or have a medical condition. Insured persons must carry their ID card along with a copy as evidence for screening. If the insured person does go through the screening on the appointment date, they must register again. After being tested for COVID-19, they can return home immediately. The hospital will notify the results of the COVID-19 test via three channels: QR Code, via SMS, and by phone. But if the insured person has not received the screening results, it may be because the phone number was entered incorrectly. In such a case, you can call 1506, press 6. Online registrations are open for registration from July 10, 2021, onwards. Each day can screen 2,000 people per day, divided into 1,000 people in the morning and 1,000 in the afternoon.

The proactive COVID-19 screening process is as follows: 1) Those who go for screening as scheduled must prepare their ID card and make a photocopy of the ID card. 2) Show the phone screen to the staff to confirm your schedule and appointment. 3) Fill out the consent form for screening and sign a true certified copy of your ID card. 4) Fill out the screening for diseases and receive the examination equipment. 5) Conduct the RT-PCR (nasal swab) examination. 6) The staff will hand out the paper so that you can follow up on the results of the screening. If the infection is detected, but the person does not have symptoms, they will be sent to a Hospitel for treatment. Meanwhile, those with symptoms will be sent to hospitals under the Social Security Network, with a team of doctors and nurses to take care of them. As for medical expenses, insured persons will be reimbursed with the Social Security Office, and the general public can reimburse with the NHSO.
