Labour Minister Shows Concern for Insured Persons and Assigns Secretariat to Visit Ayutthaya to Ensure Benefits

          On October 5, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin assigned Secretariat to the Labour Minister Mr. Suthep Chitayawong and Deputy Permanent Secretary of Labour Ms. Aumpun Thuwawit, to visit the area to support and donate 100 survival bags to flood victims at Thang Chang Subdistrict, Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The visit took place together with the Governor of Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Mr. Weerachai Nakmat. In this regard, the Social Security Office’s Secretary-General, Mr. Boonsong Thapchaiyut, assigned the Social Security Office’s Chief Inspector-General, Ms. Pailin Jindamaneeporn, to join the group. Mrs. Potjanart Suthiporn, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Social Security Officer, and the head of the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya provincial governments, gave a welcoming.
          Then, the Labour Minister’s Secretariat traveled to Mahar Phram Subdistrict, Bang Ban District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province to visit, encourage and give souvenirs to people with disabilities who are under the care of the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Social Security Office, to receive benefits in case of disability from the Social Security Fund. They also gave out items to build morale and show care for the people with disabilities and their families.
          Mr. Suthep said that Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha, Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, who oversees the Ministry of Labour and Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, is concerned about the workers and the public who have been affected by the flood situation and gives importance to caring for insured persons in all aspects, to receive benefits in all 7 cases. If employees or insured persons are in danger or are facing insecure situations, they must not be left behind. Today, he was assigned to visit the area in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. He visited two people with disabilities. The first was a Section 39 insured person who became a person with disabilities from an accident. The insured person is a bedridden patient in the care of their mother. The second case was a person with disabilities from illness with high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, cervical vertebrae pressing on their nerves, both legs were numb and weak, and handicapped. Both insured persons receive compensation for lack of income in the case of disabilities from the Social Security Office, for 2,400 Baht per person per month, continuing for life. They also receive old-age pension funds and received flowers from the visit.
          Mr. Suthep concluded that he wanted to encourage insured persons with disabilities on behalf of the Ministry of Labour. He said that the Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office (SSO) is ready to take care of workers to have a good quality of life, fight, and not give up. He assured that the Social Security Office would take care of employees and insured persons to receive complete benefits and ensure prompt access by those suffering.
