Labour Minister Visits COVID-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons at Mitr Phol Sugar and Reports Progress of 500,000 Vaccinated Persons

          On July 2, 2021, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin visited the COVID-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons at Mitr Phol Sugar Co., Ltd., Ploenchit Center 2 Building, Sukhumvit Road, Klongtoey, Bangkok. Advisor to the Labour Minister Mrs. Thiwalrat Angkinan, the Labour Minister’s Secretariat Mr. Suthep Chitayawong, Pol. Maj. Gen. Nantachat Supamongkol from the Office of the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, performing duties for the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Labour’s Spokesperson (on politics) Mrs. Theanrat Nawamawat, Advisory Board Member Mr. Teerawit Wongphet, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Mitr Phol Sugar, Mr. Kapol Rutaiwanich and the Ministry of Labour’s executives, also joined the occasion at Mitr Phol Sugar Co., Ltd., Ploenchit Center 2 Building, Sukhumvit Road, Klongtoey, Bangkok.
          Mr. Suchart said the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense General Prayuth Chan-ocha had set COVID-19 vaccinations as a national agenda. The Ministry of Labour, under the supervision of Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan, has given the Social Security Office the policy to support insured persons starting from proactive COVID-19 screening. The Ministry of Labour’s Social Security Office worked with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Krung Thai Bank, and private hospitals affiliated with the Social Security Office. The effort received great cooperation from the private sector to use facilities as a COVID-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons. Today, the Labour Minister and the Ministry of Labour’s executives visited the COVID-19 Vaccination Center for Section 33 Insured Persons at Mitr Phol Sugar. The Bangkok Social Security Office Area 12 is responsible for Khlong Toei and Wattana areas. The Social Security Office has provided COVID-19 vaccination services to insured persons from June 7 to 30, 2021, for a total of 504,242 people, representing 99.31 percent of allocated vaccines. However, the Social Security Office reiterates that those who register through the Social Security e-service will receive the vaccine. Therefore, the Labour Minister asked insured persons to be confident in the vaccine availability. Medical personnel and social security officers are ready to perform their duties to the best of their ability so that insured persons can get the vaccine as soon as possible.
