Labour Minister Visits Dubai Joining Thai Delegation for the 8th World Government Summit

          On March 30, 2022, Labour Minister Mr. Suchart Chomklin, Assistant to the Labour Minister Mr. Surachai Chaitrakulthong, and his delegation joined the 8th World Government Summit 2022. The attendance followed the invitation letter by the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Application. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow’s led the Thai delegation. They participated in a discussion on “Shaping the Future of Governments.” There were eight main topics in the meeting: policies that drive public administration, the future of the public health system, sustainable development, innovation, revitalization of the global economy, building a strong society, the future of education and work, and the city of the future.
          The World Government Summit is an international meeting in the United Arab Emirates, held annually under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai. The event provides a platform for government leaders, ministers, senior officials from the public and private sectors, and leaders of international organizations worldwide to exchange ideas and discuss issues related to development guidelines and public administration. It is scheduled to be held during March 29 – 30, 2022, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as part of the World Expo 2020 held in the form of a dialogue. Over 4,000 people attended the conference from 190 countries around the world. The general meeting contains the statement of the country’s leaders, and meeting rooms are arranged according to different topics which attendees can choose to attend following their interests. For Thailand, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Mr. Supattanapong Punmeechaow’s statement contained important themes covering various issues, including bio-economic models, circular economy and green economy, Sustainable Development Goals, the sufficiency economy, universal health insurance, and electric vehicles.
