Police General Adul Sangsingkeo visited Korean language and professional assessment takers through the point system, where Thai workers are deployed to South Korea under the Employment Permit System for Foreign Workers (EPS). The assessments took place at the TukCom Landmark Udon Thani in Muaeng, Udon Thani, whereby the ministry’s senior officials also joined the session.
Since 2004, Thailand has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the delivery of workers to the Republic of Korea under the Employment Permit System for Foreign Workers (EPS). Since then, Thailand has signed 5 issues of the MOU, requiring foreign workers to undergo at least 45 hours of language and cultural training before deployment. In 2018, the quota for deployment of Thai workers was 6,000, with 5,520 already deployed through the EPS system, mostly in the agricultural industry, followed by livestock and construction respectively.
