Labour Minister Visits MOL Booth at Red Cross Fair 2018 at Lumpini Park

            On December 1, 2018, Labour Minister, H.E. Police General Adul Sangsingkeo and his wife visited the Ministry of Labour’s booth at the Red Cross Fair 2018, where he was welcomed by Permanent Secretary of Labour Mr. Jarin Chakkaphark and the ministry’s senior executives . The fair was organized by the Thai Red Cross Fair Administration Committee at Lumpini Park from November 23 to December 1, 2018. The Ministry of Labour’s booth, hosted by the ministry and the Housewives Association, joined 3 activities this year including; 1) The ancient and rare Thai kites contest won by Ms. Orapin Boonnok from the Social Security Office; 2) The red cross booth contest which received an award from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, President of the Thai Red Cross Society and; 3) The Red Cross Commendation Award, represented by Ms. Juthamas Wareerat from the Social Security Office on November 24, 2018. In the first round, contestants introduced themselves and gave a special performance, then walked around with donation boxes for the Thai Red Cross Society, while on December 1 from 18.00 to 21.30 hours, a winner, two runner-ups, and a people’s favourite award will be presented for the best Thai costume.
            From the ministry’s booth at the Red Cross Fair, two independent career demonstrations were held each day from November 23 to December 1, 2018 by the Department of Employment and Department of Skill Development. There was also an exhibition in honour of HRH Queen Sirikit Queen and HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, sales of cheap by quality products such as sports clothing, herbal toothpaste, pearl jewelry and Trang cakes for example. Basic health checks were provided by hospitals in the social security network, Thai massages by Department of Skill Development and games of Bingo which generated income for the booth from November 23 to December 1, 2018. Revenue from the sale of card as follows: November 23, the Office of the Permanent Secretary received 68,880 Baht; on November 24, the Department of Employment received 112,880 Bah; on November 25, the Department of Skill Development received 160,970 Baht; on November 26, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare received 111,600 Baht; on November 27, the Social Security Office received 149,690 Baht; on November 28, the Department of Employment received 172,230 Baht; on November 29, the Department of Skill Development received 193,580 Baht; on November 30, the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare received 152,910 Baht, this the total income from the sale of tickets was 1,122,740 Baht, which will be presented to HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn to contribute to the Thai Red Cross Society.
